Blog vs. Websites

What is a Blog and how can I use it to create my website?

You hear the word BLOG all the time but when most people hear BLOG they think of CEO Blogs or people writing their feelings or traveling experiences. The truth is you can use a blog to create a dynamic professional website with very little effort. Actually many websites that you may frequent might be blogs and you would never know. Blogs allow you to create directories, shopping interfaces, and much more. The number one blogging interface is Word Press and we highly recommend this because of how it is easy- to-use and has the most support plugins.. To download wordpress and put it on your hosting account go to Wordpress Download.

What is the difference?

Your average website is made up of html, php, xml, css, asp and a bunch of coding that you have to be familiar with to edit and change. A blog does the basic coding for you, so that you can focus on content and any html you want to add to your pages, such as picture insertions, headers, and text formatting. Blogs also allow you to change templates in minutes and keep the same content and allow multiple users with various permissions to edit and add content.

Which is best for my business?

Each business is different and many businesses still need the flexibility of a website and the ability to manipulate and change the many kinds of coding a website uses. But for most small business, with the exception of most tech related companies, a blog will save valuable time and limited start-up or operating costs.
