Now that you have created your website, you are ready to market it online. The first thing that you want to do is get your website ranked higher on Google. To do this, you basically want to create as many links back to your website from other sites. The easiest and most common way to do this is through videos, blogs, social networking sites and social bookmarking sites.

Register: Register your site or blog with google webmaster or google blogs.

Pings: Search engines are constantly gathering information from your website, so the more dynamic the website and the more you change the website, the higher it will rank.

Meta Tags: The most basic way to allow the search engines to pick up on what your website or video is about, is through meta tags description and keywords. The description is what displays on the search engine when it finds your website. Keywords are strings or words that the search engines sort through when someone types in a search. Good keywords consist or 2-4 words together. This allows smaller sites to lead search engine rankings if the keywords are specific enough. You can use keywords for most blogs, video sites and social media sites. Try to be consistent with your keywords, pick a string of words and try to capture that search query. For popular search trends try Google Trends and if you want a FREE keyword suggestion tool try Google, Word Tracker or Keyword Country.
